Tempera on Paper
Camden's use of color and movement in this painting stand out to me. I believe that adults work for years to emote this level of expression in their paintings and it is something that is so accessible to many young children. I love this piece for its bold color, expressive movement, and simplicity.
Tempera on Paper
Baylor's use of color and lines to create movement in this piece really spoke to me. I love the way he mixed color to get those hues and layered color in other ways to create a more dynamic rainbow. This rainbow shines bright to me like his heart!
Collage
This artist really connected with the collage process and loved layering piece after piece of ripped paper to create an absolutely stunning flower. I love the vibrancy of it and how the colors play off of each other as well as create depth within the flower. I also love the size and texture of it as well.
Collage
I love the artists choice of the sizes of piece of paper that she used to make the arches in this rainbow. She chose to make them thin and long and gradually increase their thickness and decrease their length. I also love how she separated the color and played on the movement with the directions that she glued the pieces on the paper. The resulting rainbow is stunning in it's beauty!
