#AlvaCares

At Alva Academy, we support our young people and their families in any way we can. #alvacares

#Alva Cares endeavours to offer anything that a family might need to allow their young people to attend school and fulfil their potential.

We do this with the support of various local partners and the kindness of Alva Staff and Families.

Order what you need by clicking the button above and we will communicate with you to get your order to you (either collection, through your young person or delivery).

**OUR FORMS AREN'T LIVE YET BUT IF YOU WOULD LIKE SUPPORT WITH UNIFORM, FOOD OR SANITARY PRODUCTS, PLEASE EMAIL clebernethy@glow.sch.uk or call 01259452322 AND ASK TO SPEAK TO MISS ABERNETHY**

Uniform is available to all young people to help themselves to in the School Reception.

In the winter term, we also hold a Jacket Drive where you can donate and/or collect a warm jacket for the colder weather! Keep an eye out for dates to donate and collect.

Donations are also always welcome and can be dropped off in our Reception.

Period Power

Period Power is a pupil led group with the goal of supplying Period Products to all young people and their families in our community.

Products are available in classrooms, bathrooms and communcal areas all over the school - have a look at our map below to see exactly where you can take what you need for you and your family (red dots = products available)

We are developing our strategy to educate and share information about menstruation as well as supply products to anyone who might need them.

Please see the Period Power Team, Miss Mitchell (Social Subjects) or Miss Abernethy (PE/Head of House) to hear more about how you can get involved.

Breakfast Club

At Alva Academy, we know the importance of a healthy start to our day. To support this, we offer a well attended Breakfast Club on a Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday morning from 8am. Here, young people have access to a free breakfast including toast, cereal, yoghurt and fruit. They also have the opportunity to take away what they might need for the day as well as learning about other cultures in our themed days which happen throughout the year.

We are also proud to be partnered with local Food Banks who also support our Alva families. Click on their logo to hear more about how you can work with them
