WHAT CAN COUNSELORS ASSIST WITH?
As a comprehensive high school counseling/guidance program, we provide the following services to students and families:
Academic Planning: We help students with goal-setting, academic planning, and interventions, credit recovery, college admission requirements, and exploring the variety of available programs in high school: Dual credit in high school, including Running Start, College in the High School, Advanced Placement, and CTE College credit.
Post-High School Planning: We help students develop & solidify a plan for after graduation, taking the necessary steps to make that happen; taking advantage of opportunities, college & career planning, college admissions, financial aid, and scholarships to fund their plans, professional/tech schools, ASVAB, apprenticeship programs, and more.
Personal/Social Wellness: We facilitate students in overcoming obstacles to be successful in school. All School Counselors have Master's Degrees and ESA Certifications to have specialized skills to support the unique developmental needs of teenagers. The focus is on academic guidance and support, such as problem solving, conflict resolution, coping strategies, time management, and testing anxiety. For more information, visit our Social-Emotional Wellness page for information on outside referrals, as needed and our specialists in-building, who work with our students as well.
School Counselors’ Philosophy Statement: Rooted in our belief that every student can achieve and thrive, this philosophy guides the way we support, advocate for, and empower students. It reflects the foundation of our work and the values that shape the relationships we build within our school community.

Join us on Google Classroom
Each grade level has its own Google Classroom, where important publications, events, and updates will be posted regularly. Time-sensitive announcements and reminders will also be sent out through these classrooms. Students should join their grade-level Google Classroom using the appropriate code to stay informed.
In addition, all students are expected to join the Counseling Office Google Classroom, where critical information related to scholarships, academic planning, college and career resources, and other counseling updates will be shared. Be sure to sign up for both your grade-level and the Counseling Office classrooms to stay up to date on everything you need to know.
