Tips for Staying On Track
Check PowerSchool regularly for the most up-to-date grades and assignments. Download the app, our district code is ZCNN.
Check your Google Classrooms for classwork, upcoming due dates, syllabi, and announcements.
Know each teacher’s class policies, including:
Late work policies
Quiz/test retake policies
How to turn in homework
How to get work if absent
Extra credit opportunities
Talk with your teachers in class or reach out via email/phone if you need help prioritizing assignments or improving your grades. Conversations in class are a great way to get guidance.
Get extra help during Advisory or after school when teachers are available. Availability may vary, so check with your teacher about the best times to meet.
Tutoring Resources
Peer Tutoring at CKHS is available every Wednesday during Advisory in the library. National Honor Society students provide free tutoring to help answer your questions and support your learning. Students are encouraged to use their Advisory time to get help with their classes and take advantage of this peer tutoring opportunity.
Brainfuse offers live online tutoring through the Kitsap Regional Library for students of all ages. This local resource provides digital study support, test preparation, video lessons, online homework help, and live tutoring every day from 1:00–10:00 p.m. To access Brainfuse, students need a free Kitsap Library account. Simply visit the library’s website, scroll down to the “Teens” section, and then click on “Brainfuse” to get started.
Tutor.com for U.S. Military & Their Families offers no-cost, online tutoring and homework help 24/7. Students can connect with expert tutors in over 150 subjects, from K–12 through college, anytime and anywhere on any internet-connected device. This service provides personalized support for learners of all levels, making it a convenient resource for military families who need flexible academic assistance.
Supporting Families with PBIS at Home begins with using the same proven strategies that over 25,000 schools rely on to build children’s social, emotional, and behavioral skills. These approaches can help families maintain routines, encourage positive behavior, and reduce disruptions, especially during challenging times such as extended breaks, natural disasters, or major changes. This resource offers practical recommendations to help caregivers use PBIS to support their children’s growth and create a positive home environment.
