ROCK 3223 is a travelling team which engages in statewide and national/worldly competitions. This team can give you an opportunity to be noticed on a global stage.
The FIRST Tech Challenge - A major part of our school year revolves around FTC. There are two competitions that the team will compete in against other teams in the PNW. Dependent on the results of the inital competitions, there are possible opportunities for more competitions.
Industry interactions - Mentors from various fields of study will be available to you via your interaction with the coaches and the team. Having the opportunity to learn industry standards in practical applications for engineering practices, project management, marketing and pitch proposals, among other fields of study.
Fabrication, software usage and development, design process, and more - As the team preps for "build season" and during the off-season after FTC has concluded for the year, the team will have an opportunity to unearth other possibilities for engagement. With the network of mentors and local company partnerships, having a design engineering space at our disposal, ROCK can create pocket design teams to generate funding for the team maintaining a needed sustainability for ROCK. This cycle needs YOU. You are an asset. Human resources is a LARGE part of sustainability.
Initial team dues - Team dues are not currently required (subject to change - please contact Head Coach / Student Co-captains)
Additional costs per competition to maintain the team budget will be discussed during current season.
ASB dues - ROCK is not currently using ASB funds, so there is no current requirement for ASB dues.
