COLLEGE GUIDANCE 11

Weekly Class - Mon/Wed, 3rd/4th Period (Sem 2)

We use three guiding questions; their answers overlap and swirl into one another, helping us to visualize and create a personal "road map" for our future. It's not perfect, nor is it set in stone, but it helps us ask the right questions as we grow into God's callings on our lives:

WHO AM I? Interest and personality inventories, career exploration, college majors exploration.
WHERE SHOULD I GO? College research, selectivity criteria, college preferences, making a college list.
HOW DO I GET THERE? Academic goal-setting, involvement opportunities, resume-building, admissions test preparation, essay writing, basic college application process, and making plans to maximize summer time!?

Please check out the Google Classroom to see all of our in-class activities and assignments -- our guided work to help each 11th grade student on their way to college! However, realistically, not all college preparation can happen within a few 45 minute class periods each week.
