Proposition A - $8,440,000

The proposal includes building a new wing of classrooms along with a dedicated science lab and the renovation of Columbus Elementary School (14,667 square feet). The new wing would be located on the northwest corner of the property connected to the historic gym and main building. Renovations to the existing structure would include, but not limited to, electrical and plumbing upgrades.  The parking lot would be reconfigured to include more parking spaces for staff.

Construction of the new fifth grade wing is expected to take place without impacting school operations. Classes would be in session in the current wing of the main building while construction is underway on the north end of the property.

Proposition B - $5,320,000

The proposal includes the construction of a new Career and Technology Education (CTE) Vocational Trades building along with the equipment (12,058 square feet) for the fields of study and the renovation of the existing agriculture building. The driveway on the south side of the softball complex would be widened and additional parking spaces would be added to accommodate deliveries and staff parking.

Construction of the new CTE center is expected to take place without impacting school operations. Classes would be in session in the current structure(s) while construction is underway on the east end of the property.
