1. How to access the Service Portfolio on Managebac
In Managebac, navigate to your IB Manager.
Click on the Grade level of interest
Click on the SA Image
You should now see your students. Clicking on their names will take you to their SA Portfolio
2. Approval of appropriately planned service experiences
Click the title of the SA experience. Ensure the student has correctly entered the title (with the grade level), Description, and Goals, as well as selected 1 - 2 learning outcomes.
Click on experience status, select APPROVED. Please note: Service experiences are designed to make a positive difference to the lives of others or to the environment. If a student has included something which is not obviously service-related, please do not approve it.
3. How to Complete an SA experience in the Managebac portfolio
Click the title of the SA experience. Ensure the student has correctly entered the title(with the grade level), description, goals. Under the Reflections & Action tab, check that there is an appropriate Action journal post, Reflection journal post, and Evidence of the Activity.
Under the Supervisor Review tab, based upon their reflection and evidence, click YES to the learning outcomes boxes that have been met and that the activity has been completed successfully. Please note: You can leave an advisor comment, but it is not necessary.
Under the Supervisor Review tab, if everything is appropriate, click YES that the activity was completed successfully.
Once everything is successfully checked off click the Submit Activity Review
Click on experience status, select COMPLETE. Please note: There may be cases when a service is not complete. Students may either continue to work on it or select a more suitable SA opportunity.
4. Grade 10 Advisors Only
On the students' SA portfolio page
Please select “Student has completed the SA Programme” if they have successfully met all criteria for the MYP program.
By the end of the programme, G10 students must show meaningful progress in all 7 learning outcomes over the course of the programme (G7-10). A balanced approach is encouraged.
