The Truth Behind The Mask

As we grow up, we tend to face challenges and struggles in life and there are times where we lie about our emotions for both good and bad reasons. It is like wearing a mask where it is only ourselves that knows the true emotions in us. In this artwork, I wanted to express the emotions of how people are like this nowadays, and I have expressed this by using different colors (different emotions) which are represented in the background with several masks.

People have the desire to be pretty and gorgeous, however, if that desire is too much then people tend to overdose by doing plastic surgery. From this artwork, I wanted to convey how plastic surgery and social media has destroyed people’s standard of beauty. I have expressed the desire by putting beautiful flowers all around the person, however, the reality is that she has no face figure due to the addiction in plastic surgery. I wanted to convey a message that “Beauty does not tell anything but your attitude does”
