Reflect back on Grade 9 – what worked, what didn’t – what do you need to put in place as you move through the MYP and planning ahead for the DP?
Explore topics and subjects you like – maybe consider summer programmes or internships
Start to research universities and programs you might be interested in. Consider what & when you want to study, location, family budget, length of study, and other opportunities offered through the program.
Consider starting to step up into leadership positions in your extracurriculars. Initiatie projects if you have the opportunity to do so.
Determine if the High School Diploma or IB Diploma track is the right fit for you based on your current grades and future goals. You could also choose to do the high school Diploma with an IB certificate.
Talk to your teachers and family, and also meet with the DP coordinator and your Future Planning Counsellor (Jan-March) about course selections for next year. Finalize your course selections based on your goals and these discussions. Make sure you're taking the classes required by your program of interest
Meet with college representatives (CIS visits/uni fairs)
