New families should contact Student Life Office for more information
3) Welcome letter or Letter of confirmed waiting list
Please read below about how spots for activities are assigned. This is NOT a first come first serve matter!
4) Register to team/activity on the Holdsport App
now you can make short term cancellations and notify coaches/instructors about your attendance.
(New families can find information about the holdsport App HERE - or feel free to drop by our office so we can set you up! Please make sure you have downloaded the app in advance. Thanks)
At CIS we define SPORTS by activities where we compete in the Danish Local League and/or against other schools.
We have Dance, HipHop, Parkour, mini tennis, martial arts and Gymnastics on our activities programme as well; those do not fall under our School definition of Sports as we do not organize events for those sports
BEFORE FILLING OUT THE REGISTRATIONS FORMS:
Please make sure to read carefully the description of the ASA as this includes a lot of important information about content, time, location, instructor - and already scheduled cancellations.
When filling out your inquiries for registration we need you to pay extra attention to your priorities when you are signing up.
We are asking for both number of wanted activities AND priorities as the allocation of places will be distributed on the following criteria (in no specific order!):
Number of activities the student would want to participate in. We intend to distribute in a way that ensures that extensive participation from a few does not exclude others from joining activities.
Chosen priorities
Availability (Supply vs Demand)
Minimum criteria of participation
Maximum criteria of participation
This is NOT a 'first come-first serve' principle.
Example: If we have a bigger group of students with a wish for just one activity (top priority), there will be a random draw from that group.
Please be mindful that sending emails inquiring exceptions from the above will not be taken into consideration.
"Please do not show up at Sports/Activities before the registration has been confirmed"
Please do not organise participation via the coaches/instructors - ALWAYS communicate via the Student Life Office!
