What is Statistics about?
In this age of information technology daily data such as income, sports, health, politics, the weather, or prices of goods and services, come at you at such rapid rate that you can catch only a glimpse of the masses of numbers. The purpose of this course then is to provide you with an understanding of the basic concepts of statistics which will in turn enable you to cope intelligently in a quantitative world and to make informed decisions using real data.
