Prof. Pankaj Tyagi

Myself  is teaching faculty at Cluster Innovation Centre (CIC), University of Delhi.  I joined this premier institute as Professor on 12 March 2015. Here, my academic work fields include Physics, Electronics, Mathematics  Education and Innovative Pedagogy.

Firstly, I joined CIC on deputation as Associate Professor in July 2012 and on 11 October 2012, I was appointed  the Coordinator of India’s first Meta University concept based program M.Sc. (Mathematics Education) jointly offered by DU and JMI. I remained to this post till 25 February 2021. 

Initially, I started my educational teaching career from Acharya Narendra Dev College, Govindpuri, Kalkaji, New Delhi -110019 in July 1995 and continued there till 2012. From Jan-Jul, 2012 I was on deputation as Fellow in Physics at Institute of Lifelong Learning (ILLL) and in July 2012 joined CIC, DU.

I earned my graduation degree in Physics (Hons) from Hans Raj College, and post graduation degree in Physics with Electronics from Department of Physics & Astrophysics, University of Delhi, followed by Ph.D. in Physics (Optical Properties of Thin Films) from Department of Physics & Astrophysics, University of Delhi. 

My academic credentials include more than twenty research papers in peer reviewed journals, more than twenty books for school curriculum and on general science, many papers in conferences, many invited talks on innovative pedagogy and various successfully completed research projects including the one National level project on Gifted Children Education given by DST, Government of India. 

In 2015, I was awarded “Teaching Excellence Award for Innovation” by University of Delhi for my Innovation Project Work.
