1. Engage with and represent your neighbors and local business owners.
2. Be familiar with the organizations's 'Purpose' so you are comfortable explaining to others.
3. Know the history of the organization and be able to cite at least 3 examples of the organization's notable achievements.
4. Understand what a 'Motion' is and, in general, how meetings are conducted. (Roberts Rules of Order)
5. Be comfortable knowing how much revenue the organization generates each month and how much of that money is going toward expenses. (Don't be shy, ask when something doesn't make sense)
6. Know what the meeting schedule is for the upcoming year.
7. Be prepared to participate in one or more committees and scheduled events throughout the year. And challenge yourself to engage your neighbors, families, and friends!
8. Be prepared to contribute financially or volunteer at one or more of the scheduled events throughout the year. And challenge yourself to inspire neighbors, families, and friends to contribute and or volunteer with you!
9. Most of all, have some fun!
