Chaplain
Catholic High School is pleased to welcome Father Anthony Mpungu as our new school Chaplain. Father Anthony is originally from Uganda from the Archdiocese of Kampala. He joined the Diocese of Richmond in December of 2011, and has served as pastor of the Catholic Church of Saint Mark since August of 2015. Father Anthony has been celebrating Mass and the Sacrament of Confession with us for several years - we are so blessed to have him serve as our School Chaplain!
Campus Minister
Mrs. Cate Harmeyer ('99) has served as the Campus Minister at CHS since January of 2016. Before that, she taught Sophomore Theology at Bishop Sullivan for ten years. Mrs. Harmeyer graduated from the University of Virginia in 2003 with a Bachelors in Arts in Religious Studies before earning a Masters in Theological Studies in 2005 from the University of Notre Dame. She and her husband, Dana ('96) have been married for 16 years, and have two young daughters (SGGS Saints!): Elie (7) and Lena (6). She can be contacted at harmeyerc@chsvb.org.
Assistant Campus Minister
Mr. Adam Kelkis has served as the Assistant Campus Minister since August 2017. He has been teaching high school Theology for 5 years, and has been involved in youth ministry since he was in high school. Mr. Kelkis oversees all of our Music Ministry and assists with Retreats and Liturgical planning. He and his wife, Gina, have been married for 7 years and have four beautiful children: Annie (7), Benny (5), Lucy (3), and Genny (2). He can be contacted at kelkisa@chsvb.org.
