You can add some initial drawings to your sketchbook to kickstart your project.
You can do this even if you are unsure of the focus and want to explore and experiment with different approaches and subjects.
When you make a rapid series of drawings or sketches, it's important to signal to the moderator that that is all they are.
Add notes explaining what you are doing and what went well (say why?) and what didn't go so well (again, say why?)
Remember to add in meaningful notes that explain processes, aims and techniques as well as success or failure.
Show them that you understand what you have done and can articulate that visual critical evaluation with a written evaluation.
If you struggle to see what you have in front of you, write your notes later, once you can get more distance on your sketches.
Ask someone else like another student or the teacher to help you evaluate what you have. display your sketches in groups as inserts, stuck in drawings on paper over coloured backgrounds or just glue in the whole sketchbook..
