Teacher of Science
Required for January 2025, a well-qualified teacher of science to join an established, committed and supportive team.
This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and enthusiastic teacher of Science to join our team. We are seeking someone who can share their passion for Science to our pupils and inspire all to have a love of Science. The Science Department is an experienced and committed team of professionals who achieve good results. We value challenge, active participation and motivation. The department is a positive, high achieving, forward thinking department who believes that every child can achieve in Science.
A specialism in Chemistry is desirable, however the successful candidate will be expected to teach all three areas of Science across the ability and age range.

Head of Social Studies

Actihire are the new lettings management partner for Christ the King Catholic High School and Sixth Form Centre, looking after every element of lettings when the local community pay to use the school’s facilities during evening, weekend and school holiday period.
They are looking to recruit several part-time, zero hours contracted Leisure Assistants. The hourly rate of pay is £9.50-£10.42 and uniform, full training and other company benefits are available.
The role involves
- Working flexibly during evenings, weekends and school holidays
- Full opening and closing responsibilities – including holding keys and learning alarm codes
- Following set procedures – including using apps to clock in and out, complete checks and submit forms to Actihire Head Office
- Cleaning and tidying of the facilities ready for community bookings, as well as returning the facilities back to how they were found ready for school the next day
- The ability to build genuine relationships with both school staff and our community hirers to manage behaviours and activity when on-site
- On-site decision making – though supported remotely at all times, you will work unsupervised and be expected to make decisions yourself/use initiative to create solutions to the on-shift challenges you face
