"Consonant Blends"

สาระสำคัญ...

Hello Kids! We will have a review of the consonant blends. We already did it in our class but let’s practice more.

Consonant blend is when two or more consonants are blended together, but each sound may still be heard in the blend. So today we will focus on the r blends. They are as follows:

b + r = br example: brag, brim

c + r = cr example: crab, cry

d + r = dr example: drum, drop

f + r = fr example: frog, from

g + r = gr example: gram, grid

p + r = pr example: pray, pram

t + r = tr example: trap, try

Now you can watch the link attached for more example.

A consonant blend is when two or more consonants are blended together, but each sound may be heard in the blend. The most common beginning consonant blends include: bl, br, cl, cr, dr, fr, tr, fl, gl, gr, pl, pr, sl, sm, sp and st. Blends can also occur at the end of words as in the word “last”.Ja
