About Me

Teacher of all things

I began my teaching career in 2000 after graduating from the University of MN-Morris with a degree in 7-12 Spanish Education. I taught my first year at Century High School in Rochester, MN followed by 4 years at St. Michael-Albertville High School. In 2005, my husband and I moved back to his home town of Chokio with our newborn daughter and I taught Spanish at Clinton-Graceville-Beardsley High School part time for one year before being hired the following year at Chokio-Alberta School for the other half of the day. I split my time between the two districts for nine years while I earned a teaching license in Physical Education. In 2016 I started my full time position at Chokio Alberta School as a Spanish-Physical Education-Health-Foods teacher and have found my home and calling!

I have traveled with students to Spain, Costa Rica, and Peru and enjoy traveling in the United States with my family as well.

I have worked with the speech team in every district I have taught and am currently the head coach for the cooperative speech team of CA-CGB. I'm involved at the State level in speech and enjoy judging at tournaments throughout the season. I also co-manage the Chokio Pool and teach water classes and swimming lessons .

My husband and I have 2 daughters and live in Chokio. It's a great place to call home!
