A.1 Vision Statement
A leading GREEN (Good Governance, Research-oriented, Extension driven, Education for Sustainable Development and Nation-building) institution of higher learning in the global community by 2030.
A.2 Mission Statement
We are a GREEN university committed to empower learners through academic excellence, relevant research, active community engagement, and good governance in order to build a just and sustainable world.
A.3 Statement of the Goals of the Academic Unit
Goal
Implement master’s and doctorate degree programs in all levels and endeavor to achieve quality and excellence, relevance and responsiveness, equity and access and efficiency and effectiveness in instruction, research, extension, and production.
Objectives
Develop teachers for higher level of instructional capability, leadership and innovativeness through meaningful curricula experiences focused on supervisory and managerial function in the modern trends of instruction.
Implement graduate studies programs that meet CHED standards.
Implement activities where graduate students can effectively collaborate through community extension programs.
Integrate ICT based instruction and learning activities across programs.
Implement globally oriented research practices aligned with the research agenda.
Strengthen linkages with various institutions and communities included in the research and extension programs of the college.
A.4 Statement of the Program Objective
GOALS OF THE GRADUATE STUDY
To produce master’s and doctoral degree graduates with expertise in the specialized field of study and in the demonstration of problem-solving skills necessary for the development of critical thinking that would better prepare them for advanced instruction and leadership positions in the areas of research, creative works and in the practice of their professions.
Education Program Outcomes:
A graduate of master’s degree program should be able to:
PO 1: demonstrate advanced knowledge and skills in a specialized, interdisciplinary, or multidisciplinary field of study for professional practice.
PO 2: produce self-directed research.
PO 3: embody lifelong-learning skills with a highly substantial degree of independence in doing research, professional, or creative work.; and
PO 4: strengthen linkages with various institutions and communities in the research and extension programs of the college.
