California Colleges Guidance Initiative (CCGI)
As part of your JrHS experience, Ramona JHS students complete 2 CCGI lessons by the end of their 8th grade year.
The 2 lessons are:
The Learning Styles Inventory: This instrument was designed to help a student obtain a better understanding of how they learn and build their confidence in the school setting.
The Interest Profiler: This assessment asks students about their interests and helps them understand how their interests connect to different careers.

To access the lessons...
FIRST REGISTER!
Before you can have access to all the great features available to you via CCGI (California Colleges Guidance Initiative), you will need to first register.
Steps for registering your account:
Go to californiacolleges.edu
Click on the lock icon in the upper right-hand corner of the homepage.
In the student box section, click on Register Your Account.
Enter the school district (Chino Valley Unified), name of your school, your ID number (the number you use for lunch), and your date of birth and year. Click Next when done.
Create an Account: you will click “sign up with an email (the blue one)”.
Enter your school email address (@stu.chino.k12.ca.us) and make your password be your computer login password for the district computers (i.e. the password you used to log into this computer).
Once logged in, get started by completing the lessons!
How to log in if you already have an account:
Go to californiacolleges.edu.
Click on the lock in the upper right-hand corner of the homepage.
Locate the SIGN IN section (near the top of the page) and click on it.
Sign in using your district email and password click “sign-in” when done.
Complete the lessons!

Career videos are organized into 16 clusters, or related types of work. Select a category to view a list of videos related to that cluster. Videos include career details such as tasks, work settings, education needed, and more.

This is a fun website that helps kids pick a career! It has self-assessment instruments, 15 industry sectors with 900 occupations, 300 career videos, a reality check section (for calculations of living expenses) and a search option for finding your favorite career!
This site includes Information on California high school and community college courses, career options, and financial assistance. It will help you make decisions about the right courses to take in high school and community college so that you have the opportunity to turn that passion of yours into a great job and a great future.
