From the CHIME website: PBS- A proactive approach to supporting student behavior that is now applied in schools across the country, school-wide Positive Behavior Support has been a critical component of CHIME’s model from its inception. Expectations are taught and reinforced through the use of motivation, recognition, and careful analysis of misbehavior. Social skills and bullying prevention curricula are used and reinforced school wide. All students are viewed as key stakeholders who can help address school problems.
"Monster Points"
Using Class Dojo, points are given to individual students for achievement throughout the day. The school day is broken up into 5 parts and a point can be earned for each part of the day. Additional points may also be earned for Helping Others, Perseverance, Working Hard, or Teamwork. Earning 5 points for the day means earning 1 key.
Keys
1 key is given each day for those who earned all of their monster points.
3 keys= Treasure box
After a trip to the treasure box has been earned, the keys go back and we start again.
Marbles
Marbles are given to the entire class for whole class achievements and compliments. When the classroom marble jar is filled to the top... a MARBLE PARTY is earned. The class decides how they would like to celebrate their achievement.
