Hi! My name is Julie Alber, and I’m thrilled to be teaching kindergarten at CHIME this year. This will be my seventeenth year teaching kindergarten and my twenty-fourth year teaching overall (I’ve also taught first and third grade).
I grew up in Ann Arbor, Michigan, where I earned a Bachelors in Elementary Education with a specialty in Early Childhood and Math. I later received my Masters in Instruction at Marygrove College in Detroit. I’ve had the opportunity to teach in Michigan, Ohio, and, most recently, at a private school here in LA. I am so grateful that my family has settled in Woodland Hills and I can share my love of teaching with the CHIME community.
Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my husband, two daughters (who both attend CHIME), and our puppy, Daisy. I love traveling, reading, hiking, and playing board games with my family and friends. I am so excited to learn and grow with the new Kinders this year and I am grateful to be a part of their scholastic journey!
