SUPPORTING FAMILIES
The Backpack Program coordinates assembly and distribution of food bags to support school families dealing with food insecurity over weekends and extended breaks.
We receive support from Portland Backpack, which provides pre-packed bags with enough food for two days of breakfast and lunch. We aim to provide extra meals to allow for 3-day weekends and longer breaks. Please check out our "Wish List" below.

WISH LIST
We need high-protein, low-sodium, kid-friendly, easy-to-prepare food. Pop-top cans are preferred. Examples:
Canned tuna or chicken
Instant oatmeal packets
Canned soup, ravioli, chili (with or without meat)
Peanut butter
Snacks: granola bars, fruit snacks, etc.
Pasta: mac and cheese, Knorr sides, etc.
We maintain a list of current food needs. Please sign up to donate something from the list.
