Dress Code

  • For the year 2020-2021, please visit the district website at Chester County Schools for the updated dress code for this school year.

  • Students must wear solid colored shirts with a collar. Shirts must be tucked in at all times.

  • Sweatshirts/Sweaters/Fleeces must be a solid color. Solid color sweaters with v-necks, crewnecks, cardigans or vests may be worn, but must be worn over the approved shirts.

  • Students must wear khaki, navy blue, or black pants. Walking shorts in approved colors may be worn. They must be no shorter than 6 inches above the knee. Pants are to have no holes, rips, or tears.

  • A belt should be worn if pants, shorts, skirts, dresses, etc. have belt loops. Belts must be brown or black and have a plain buckle.

  • All skirts or dresses must be solid khaki, navy blue, or black and must go to the knee.

  • Our classroom temperature changes often throughout the day. Even if your child is usually warm, we highly recommend sending a lightweight sweater or light jacket (without a hood) to school each day.

  • A more detailed outline of the dress code is available on the district website or in the student handbook.

Group Expectations

**Group work for the 2020-2021 school year will mostly be online. However, students should still meet the following expectations for all types of group work including online.

We will work together in partners and small groups often throughout the year. Working with peers is an excellent way for students to learn; however, we do have expectations of our students that will help everyone learn and grown during group work.

  • Get along. We will use kind words instead of arguing.

  • Respect others. We will listen to other people's ideas without put downs.

  • On task behavior. Are you doing your job? On task talk only.

  • Use quiet voices. Only your group should hear you.

  • Participate. Do your part. Don't let other people do all of the work.

  • Stay in your group. Raise your hand and an adult will come to you. No silly behavior.

Technology Expectations

We will be using technology a lot throughout the year to enhance our learning and growing. The following are technology expectations within our classroom.

  • Memorize your own usernames and passwords. (Keep up with your username and password list!)

  • Use the internet safely for on-task learning and creating.

  • Touch the mouse, screen, and keyboard gently.

  • Return all devices to a charger.

  • Be responsible and keep your headphones safe.

  • Always keep food and drinks away from technology.

  • Save and title all your work before logging off.

  • Never give out your personal information.

  • Think before you make a stink.
