Physical Education Grading Rubric

1. Participation – 45%

• Always (Full Credit): Consistently engages in all activities with effort, energy, and a positive attitude.
  
  

• Sometimes (Partial Credit): Participates in some activities but effort and/or engagement is inconsistent.
  
  

• Never (No Credit): Rarely participates or refuses to engage in activities.
  
  

2. Sportsmanship – 45%

• Always (Full Credit): Consistently demonstrates respect for self, peers, teacher, and equipment; encourages others; follows rules.
  
  

• Sometimes (Partial Credit): Shows respect and fairness inconsistently; may need reminders to follow rules or interact respectfully.
  
  

• Never (No Credit): Frequently demonstrates poor sportsmanship, disrespect, or disregard for rules and others.
  
  

3. Preparation – 10%

• Always (Full Credit): Comes to class prepared with proper attire (sneakers and clothing) every day.
  
  

• Sometimes (Partial Credit): Occasionally forgets sneakers or proper attire, limiting participation.
  
  

• Never (No Credit): Rarely or never comes prepared with proper attire, unable to participate.
