We're looking for two types of presenters...

STEAM Showcase

STUDENTS and TEACHERS are encouraged to present a new or existing idea, plan, or concept related to any of the elements of STEAM that they have been working on in or out of the classroom and are excited to share with the greater Cheshire community. Proposal Examples

Educator & Parent Workshops

TEACHERS are encouraged to plan and present one or more 45-minute session to either fellow teachers and classroom support personnel or parents of CPS students. A limited number of sessions will be scheduled.

The CPS Discovery Expo Committee will meet to review all applications in order to ensure proposal alignment with the mission of the CPS Discovery Expo, inventory the needs of the presentation for logistical purposes, ensure compliance with all CPS guidelines for safety, and determine acceptance into this year's Expo. Notification of acceptance will be made on or around the date as outlined in the timeline below.

ONE application per group

Students will need parent information for ALL group members when applying.

Student Permission Slip - ALL student participants MUST complete and return

Options for returning the permission slip:

Print/sign/scan slip before applying and upload at time of application (can facilitate up to 10 group members)
Print/sign/scan slip and email to: expo_info@cheshire.k12.ct.us

Timeline

December 31st - ALL applications must be submitted (presenters and mentors)
January - Notification of all presenters and mentors that have been accepted
January - February - Plan 1-2 visits between presenters and mentors to ensure compliance with requirements of acceptance as a presenter
February - Gather all required resources and materials to ensure your presentation is ready to be set up at CHS on the day of the EXPO
Day of Expo - Arrive at CHS between 9:00 and 9:30 am to set up and prepare your presentation
