Teachers and Staff are needed as mentors* to the student presenters. The role of the mentor and/or expectations would include, but are not limited to:
- Meeting with their assigned student 1-2 times before the Expo
- Encouraging the student's desire to discover and/or innovate
- Coaching presentation skills
- Providing resources or steering students in the direction of needed resources
- Be a liaison to the CPS Discovery Expo Committee
*Mentors are NOT required to be an "expert" on the content or subject matter of their student's presentation
