Regional Director - Goals Driven Wealth Management at Northern Trust

I manage investment portfolios for high net worth clients, and I have used my Chinese language skills to speak with clients that are domiciled in the US. I am one of two Americans out of 26,000 employees that knows Chinese and it has been a huge differentiator for me. My Chinese skills led to me getting my masters in International Economics, Finance, and China Studies at Johns Hopkins. I would not have had this opportunity without taking Chinese in high school. My degree allows me to talk with clients about Chinese markets in a way that few others can in my field. I would not be where I am today in my career if I hadn’t taken Chinese in high school. I owe a lot of my success to the experience I had in high school!
