Our social media campaign hopes to offer a variety of solutions towards assisting your journey to voice your mental health, Below is a compilation of posts and videos that talk about the solution to this issue and how to prevent losing the ability to speak up about your mental health.
Create a Schedule for Assignments
Create a study schedule that breaks down each subject to specific times.
Ensure that you write the due dates of assignments in your schedule.
Work on the largest tasks first, then work your way down to the smaller ones.
Set realistic goals: don't give yourself too much work at once.
Engage in Physical Activity
Find a physical activity that you enjoy. This could be walking, swimming, participating in sports, etc.
Set aside a time each day to participate in the activity. Exercising releases endorphins that elevate mood and reduce stress.
Practice Healthy Sleeping Habits
Establish a sleeping schedule
Avoid using your phone before bed. Blue light makes it more difficult for the brain to relax.
Avoid caffeine and big meals before bed. Caffeine is a stimulant, making it difficult to relax and fall asleep. Digestion can delay the time it takes to fall asleep and wake you during the night.
Look for Support in Friends, Family, and Other Trusted Adults
Talk to trusted people to de-stress and develop better coping mechanisms.
Talking with teachers can facilitate planning for future assignments. You can also seek help from teachers when you feel overwhelmed with assignments.
Nature Walks
Walking in nature can take your mind off daily stresses and provide you with necessary vitamin D.
Drawing/Coloring
This can help you sort through your anxious thoughts and identify the emotions associated with them.
