Vigorous coursework in the Advanced Placement (AP) or International Baccalaureate (IB) Program, while encouraging students to challenge themselves academically, can be challenging mentally. In the realm of managing classwork and daily life, the feeling of anxiety can feel commonplace for the students participating in these programs.
Following the principle that mental health is health, our team strives to protect students' health by offering teenagers tips on managing the anxiety that arises from these programs. While anxiety isn't always negative, when it seeps into all aspects of a student's life, it's important to learn how to manage oneself to lead a healthier life.
The founders of Elevating Your Mindset, as members of the AP and/or IB program, are familiar with the struggle of anxiety in different aspects of one's student life. With firsthand experience, Elevating Your Mindset was created to help people who struggle with similar issues. Our goal is to make sure that you don't feel alone, as many teenagers have felt, while you traverse your mental health journey.
Although Elevating Your Mindset can't guide you throughout your entire journey, we hope to offer helpful advice that can be applied to the current high school experience to make things easier.
Mental health is often dismissed for not being a "real" health concern. Elevating Your Mindset wants to challenge this belief. HOSA's prompt for the 2025-2026 Mental Health Promotion Event advocates that mental health is health. Elevating Your Mindset believes that by promoting students to recognize their mental health situation and how to improve it, mental health treatment can be more widespread.
