How family members can help with reading:

• Foster your child's reading habit at home by holding them accountable for reading each day. Third grade students should be reading at least 20-30 minutes per day, but the longer the better!
• Help your child find a good spot for reading with little distractions and good light. Setting up pillows for a comfy reading spot is always a favorite in the classroom!
• Help them form strong reading habits by checking-in and asking them about what they read.
