Lisa Healey saw that her students consistently struggled with preparing adequately for exams while also noting that they were not fully aware of learning objectives.
Lisa notes that "students who understand concepts as well as procedures, become stronger independent problem-solvers" so being explicit with learning objectives was one of the goals of her project.
Lisa also allows the students to create a note page to use during exams. However, many students did not understand what information would be useful or how to make suitable study/text aid.
