Instructors should start Zoom Meetings from the instructor podium in the classroom (or from a laptop). This allows instructors to share screen content and manage students in Zoom more effectively.
Login to classroom computer
Open Zoom App (under Programs > All Programs > Zoom)
Sign in to Zoom App using the Single Sign-On (SSO) option
Click on Meetings to see your schedule of upcoming meetings
Click Start Meeting
Mute microphone (and stay muted)

The DTEN should remain powered on at all times. If needed, press the power button located at the bottom right of the screen on the back of the monitor to power on the device.
When you power on the DTEN you should see the following options:
Meet: Start an instant meeting in the Room.
Join: Join a scheduled Zoom meeting by meeting ID.
Whiteboard: Share a whiteboard and utilize the Touchscreen features on the DTEN to draw and annotate.
Share Content: Display on-screen instructions to allow students and others to share content on the DTEN using a sharing key.
Phone: feature not currently supported at Chemeketa.
Instructors can join a pre-scheduled meeting or meeting in-progress by entering the Meeting ID on the DTEN.
You can join a Zoom meeting by entering the meeting ID.
Tap Join in the left panel.
Enter the meeting ID using the number pad.
Tap Join.
Once you join the DTEN to your meeting you can promote the DTEN to a co-host for access to host meeting controls.
Access the Host Meeting Controls from your laptop or classroom computer
Select Manage Participants
Hover or tap on the DTEN and select Promote to Co-Host
Enter the Zoom Meeting ID on the number pad to join the DTEN to your meeting.
Audio feedback can occur when there is more than one computer/device in the room while connected to a Zoom meeting.
Tips to eliminate audio feedback:
Ask everyone to Mute Microphones and Speakers for all connected devices in the room.
Use the Mute All feature in the Participants panel to quickly mute everyone.
Mute the DTEN to quickly cancel out feedback.
Instructors can also create instant meetings using the DTEN touchscreen controls. This should only be used for very ad hoc purposes.
Tap New Meeting to start an instant Zoom meeting. A random meeting ID will be generated for the meeting.
To Record an instant meeting tap More from the In-Meeting controls and Tap Start Recording. Enter your email address. An email will be sent to you with a link to the recording.
Instructors can choose to record an instant meeting on the DTEN.
Tap Controls at the bottom of the screen to display the controls.
Tap Start Recording to display the Send Recording dialog.
Enter an email address to send the recording link to.
Tap OK.
When the meeting ends a recording is processed. Instructors will receive a link to the recording when it is ready.
