Recognition Awards

Chemeketa recognizes the broad range of work that faculty and staff are doing at the annual ALI Recognition Ceremony. Award nominations are invited from the Chemeketa community throughout the year. The 2019 ALI Recognition Ceremony will be May 21, 2019, from 2:00-4:00 pm in the Salem Campus Student Center (Building 2).

Recognition Nominations

Chemeketa would like to recognize all efforts to lower textbook and course material costs for students. Nominations for faculty and staff that are making a difference with their work were due by April 17, 2019.

The President’s Recognition Award went to the Chemeketa Press textbook “Art for Everyone.” The book combined work from a dozen art faculty, student interns and three dozen local artists, and has saved students more than $250,000 since its publication in 2015.

The first annual ALI Recognition Ceremony was held in May, 2018. Nominations were invited from the Chemeketa community, and all types of efforts and projects were encouraged for submission. Recognized work included:
