The following list is also found in the "Suggestions to Improve Your Child's Articulation at Home" section under the Articulation Heading.
Read, read, read. Look for words that have your target sound. Practice reading them and saying them correctly.
Take advantage of opportunities to improve your child’s articulation when driving in the car, shopping, or taking a family trip, by encouraging your child to look for objects that contain their target sound. Play a game such as “I Spy” where you describe an object containing their target sound, and they name it.
Play a game where you say the target sound in a word incorrectly, and the child must correct it.
Pick a designated time during the day where you focus on speech. Try not to correct your child constantly throughout the day. We want children to feel positive about their speech, yet aware of their need to improve.
