Willkommen!
A big "thank you" to Mr. Finkle, the Cherry Hill East administrators, and Cherry Hill SD administration for their support of our recent German exchange student visit from our partner school Gymnasium Puchheim!
From March 27th to April 6th, East had the pleasure of hosting 16 fantastic students, and it was a truly cherished experience for our school community. A special shout-out goes to our amazing host families who enthusiastically welcomed the German students into their homes and hearts. They did a fantastic job of sharing their family cultures and showing off some of our local gems. From trying new foods to exploring fun spots, the students from Puchheim got a real taste of life here. Even more so than in years past, “hosting” became a whole-family experience -- you’ll see this in the pictures attached.
It was heartwarming to see friendships blossom and cultures connect. As a teacher, I am lucky to be in a district where this experience is embraced and cultivated. The families are equally grateful for the positive impact this partnership has, and the door it opens for meaningful experiences during the summer, outside of school. Your support in hosting the German students makes everything else all possible.
