MS CTE Happenings Summer 2026

This summer the Career and Technical Education (CTE) team provided two summer camps for CHCCS middle school students. The WOW! World of Work Career Exploration Camp was facilitated for rising 6th graders from July 6th through 9th. Students were introduced to CTE as well as Culinary, IT/STEM, and Health Science careers. Each day was packed with minds on and hands-on activities including preparing recipes, programming Sphero robots, practicing pipetting skills, exploring an ambulance and so much more!

The STEM Space Camp occurred July 20th through 23rd for rising 7th and 8th graders. Students broadened their horizons by participating in activities that simulated rocket travel, impacts to the moon, agility training performed by astronauts, designing rovers (ATVs) to explore the moon, and making replicas of the earth.

The district Career and Technical Education (CTE) Leadership Team welcomed teachers back for the beginning of the year CTE Convocation for Day 1 of the 2026 CHCCS Teaching & Learning Conference. The CTE team also participated in the choice sessions offered on Day 2.
