Students at CHS self-select which courses they would like to enroll in each year. AIG students are encouraged to take honors level courses and AP courses. The following is a list of AP courses offered during the 2018-2019 academic year by subject:
If a high school student within CHCCS has exhausted the curriculum offered at their school, they are eligible to enroll in college courses during the school day. Most students who fit this acceleration option take mathematics courses at UNC- Chapel Hill due to the geographic proximity.
The Career and College Promise (CCP) program at Durham Tech provides seamless dual enrollment educational opportunities for eligible North Carolina high school students in order to accelerate completion of college certificates, diplomas, and associate degrees that lead to college transfer or provide entry-level job skills.
