About the Director
Kelsey Parsons is in her third year as Director of Bands at GMH. Ms. Parsons received her Bachelor's in Music Education from Appalachian State University in Boone, NC. During her time at ASU, Ms. Parsons participated in a variety of ensembles, including the Wind Ensemble, Jazz Ensembles, and Marching Mountaineers. Ms. Parsons was also the director of the ASU Video Game Ensemble, dedicated to the performance of video game soundtracks. Ms. Parsons has stayed involved in the community, performing in Jordan-Matthews HS's musicals Frozen and Matilda the past 2 years as well as participating in the CCS Directors Band.
In her free time, Ms. Parsons enjoys exploring new music, playing video games, and spending time with her dog, Kira.
