Computer Access
All full-time employees have access to a CCS computer. This access can be through an assigned workstation, a lab or library computer, a computer kiosk located in a designated area, or an assigned laptop.
If an employee’s job responsibilities require a computer to be assigned, a technician will set up, obtain a signed/witnessed online Teacher Computer Equipment Agreement form, and issue a computer. Computer usage should conform to the purposes outlined in Board Policy 3225-4312-7320.
When you are connected to the CCS network, open Self Service from the Applications folder on your computer. Login using your username (not your full email address) and your password to access the software available for download on your device or to make any necessary updates.
Don't see a software listed in Self Service, request it through incident IQ!
Use Your Laptop Effectively
Instructional employees are given access to a laptop so they can use it to develop rich learning and teaching content for their classrooms and to complete other requirements of their jobs. In general, teachers can:
communicate with students, parents, and staff
use laptop as a teaching tool
research to improve subject knowledge
find resources to enhance student-learning experiences
plan lessons
develop assessments
maintain web pages
do administrative tasks, such as PowerSchool attendance and grades, reports, and order teaching materials
