All seniors needing transcripts sent to colleges must formally request them through one of two ways.
1) Students are STRONGLY encouraged to complete all college applications through Common App. This is the easiest way to keep all of your information in one place, the easiest place to apply, and the easiest way for counselors and teachers to upload supporting documents for you. Students applying through Common App will need to complete a few steps to link their account to their school Naviance account, but then transcripts can easily be uploaded once for any number of colleges. More information can be found below on how to create and link your Common App account.
2) There are over 1,000 colleges and universities that are available through Common App. If a particular school is not available through Common App and a student applies directly through the institution, there are several additional steps that students will need to complete through Naviance in order to request their transcripts be sent.
Students can access their Naviance accounts through their student portal: Student Portal --> Clever --> Naviance
Once in Naviance, students will need to add colleges to their list that they are applying to. After colleges are added to lists, the counseling department will be notified via email and the counselor will be able to upload and send the transcript directly through Naviance to the intended college(s). More detailed information on how to request transcripts through Naviance can be found below.
FAFSA: A FAFSA application must be submitted for any student planning to attend college regardless of scholarship or other financial situation. We will hold a senior workshop that all college-bound seniors and their families will be able to attend and receive assistance to complete this process if needed.
Common App: Over 900 colleges and universities partner with Common App to make the college application process easier and all in one place.
