Looking Ahead
This year’s Senior Prom will be held at the Quidnessett County Club in North Kingstown. The prom is on Friday, May 30th, 2025 from 6:30 to 10:00 PM. Check-in arrival will be at 6:00. Guests must be at least a freshman in high school and under the age of 21. All seniors must attend school until 12:00 on the day of the prom in order to attend. Students in grades 9-11 who are attending the senior prom as guests will be allowed to leave school at 12:45.
Ticket sales will begin the week of May 5th. Priority for tickets first goes to CHS Seniors, then Chariho guests, and then non-Chariho guests. Monday and Tuesday tickets will be sold to CHS Seniors only. On Wednesday, ticket sales open up to other CHS guests and on Thursday, tickets for any non-Chariho student guests will be sold. On Friday, tickets will be available for any senior who successfully presents their portfolio on May 8th (tickets will be held for these seniors in advance). Seniors MUST be present for their own ticket purchase. Seniors who are bringing a guest MUST be present for guest ticket purchases as we will be verifying all guests.
Guest forms are outside the Main Office. The guest form must be completed and approved by a Dean/Administrator prior to purchasing your ticket for your guest. Ticket cost will be $75 by cash or checks made out to CHS Class of 2025. In order to purchase your ticket you need to have your signed prom contract and meet all other requirements. We are grateful for our School Improvement Team who met throughout this year to discuss high school policies, procedures, student iniatives, and to implement this past year's School Improvement Plan and to design next year's SIP. Please click the image to the right to view our draft 25-26 School Improvement Plan. Thank to our students, parents, community members, and faculty and staff who are a part of SIT. We look forward to next year's SIT meetings. We are proud to share that we are making strong progress towards our goals and have exceeded our graduation rate goal with a 97% graduation rate!
Please click the image above for our exam schedule. The first page is for the senior instruction & culminating assessments. The second page is for the semeter exam week for Grades 9-11. Please know that (as of now) the last day of school for students in grades 9 through 11 is June 18th.
Bussing Transportation & Senior Parking
The 25-26 transportation form is currently open for parents to complete. The deadline is July 1st. This is for any student requiring bus transportation to and from school. Students must register each year. Please go to the parent PowerSchool account and click on the forms tab. Parking applications for seniors will open on June 18th. There will be an email sent to each eligible senior in early June. Please know that this is for seniors only. In the event that there are any remaining parking spots available following senior assignments, juniors will then be permitted to apply. This will take place around the first week of September. A lottery process will determine selection for those juniors who are eligible for parking. The lottery process will take place in mid-September. Please see the parking policy for information regarding parking eligibility requirements.
