Image Use Consents

CONSENT FOR USE OF IMAGES OF CHILDREN

Occasionally, we take photographs of the children at our school to celebrate their achievements, work, and record their life at Chancellor’s.  We may also use these images in our school prospectus or in other printed publications that we produce, as well as on our website.  We sometimes make video recordings for monitoring or other educational use.

From time to time, our school may be visited by the media who will take photographs or film footage of a visiting dignitary or other high profile events.  Students will often appear in these images, which may appear in local or national newspapers, or on televised news programmes.

To comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) 2018, we need your permission before we can photograph or make any recordings of your child.

Please indicate your permission for us to use images or recordings of your child for:                                     

(at no point will your child’s image be directly associated with their full name, we always use forename and first letter of their surname)

Descriptions - Consent for use of images/work or recordings of your child for :

Website -  This could be a photo of your child in class, at an event, at Sports Day etc or a piece of your work that we would like to share on the website.

Newsletter - This could be a photo of your child in class, at an event, at Sports Day etc or a piece of your work that we would like to share in the newsletter.

Prospectus - This could be a photo of your child in class, at an event, at Sports Day etc or a piece of your work that we would like to share in the newsletter

Programmes -  This could be a photo of your child in the play, performing in a concert or a school event that we would like to share in the programmes for specific events.

School displays (Internal) -  This could be a photo of your child in class, or a piece of their work that we would like to display within the school.

School displays (External) This could be a photo of your child in class, or a piece of their work that we would like to display outside the school, i.e. art exhibitions, newspaper articles etc

Staff Information Pack -  This could be a photo of your child in class, or a piece of their work that we would like to use in the staff handbook, which is the equivalent to the student pack you received – but for staff only.

Social Media (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram) - This could be a photo of your child in class, at an event, at Sports Day or a sports tournament etc or a piece of their work that we would like to share on Social Media.

Marketing (newspapers and press releases) -  This could be a photo of your child in class, at an event, at Sports Day or a sports tournament etc or a piece of their work that we would like to share in the press.

News Events (school visitors etc) -  This could be a photo of your child in class, at an event, or a piece of their work that we would like to share in news event reports (newspapers, marketing the school, and so on.

Herts for Learning/HCC marketing - This could be a photo of your child in class, at an event, at Sports Day or a sports tournament etc or a piece of their work that we would like to share with Herts for Learning and Hertfordshire County Council marketing or advertising, i.e., in their pamphlets, brochures etc
