T-Levels

T-Levels, or Technical Levels, are a new qualification, which provides students with a practical and vocational alternative to traditional academic routes like A-Levels. T-Levels focus on specific industries and are meant to equip students with the skills and knowledge needed to enter the workforce directly or pursue higher education in a related field.

T-Levels aim to address the skills gap in various industries and offer students a pathway to successful careers in areas such as technology, healthcare, construction, and more. You can find out more about LMI and skills gaps here.

If you know the industry you want to work in

T-Levels cover a range of subjects in sectors such as health and science, construction, digital, education, and childcare, among others. If you know the industry job you'd like to pursue, T-Levels can be a great way of gaining a qualification, and getting on-the-job training.

If you want to go to university

T-Levels are designed to be a pathway to either employment or higher education. They provide UCAS points, and some universities may accept T-Levels as entry qualifications. However, if you are looking to attend a Russell Group university, it is advised you contact their admissions team directly to discuss their course requirements.

If you don't know what you want to do

T-Levels offer a balance of vocational training and academic knowledge. This flexibility can be beneficial for students who prefer a hands-on approach but still want to keep their options open for further education. However, they are industry specific, so be sure the industry you're training in is of interst you.
