SPARKS and Ignite students made their way to Higher Grounds Coffee Roasters in Traverse City during our November 8th 1/2 day of school. While there, they learned about fair trade coffee, sustainability, & single original cooperatives. They also explored how coffee is farmed, harvested, shipped, roasted, packaged, and marketed. Back at school, students participated in a comparative analysis tasting panel were it was agreed by nearly 100% of students that they did not like black coffee...lol
Ignite students had a blast giving the drama department a hand with painting sets for the upcoming play.
