Class Overview
SPARKS is focused on getting students to graduation and preparing them for life beyond school. SPARKS offers homework help and skill development through service learning, community service, and career exploration. Our Google Site will provide lots of opportunities for students to expand their knowledge, skill set, and interest base. If you have an idea for the site, the SPARKS Coordinator wants to hear from you.
SPARKS students not only get tons of academic support, they have some fun too!

About me
Hello SPARKS/Ignite families, I am Ms. Gabalis but most students call me Ms. G or Ms. Dixie, I am a Michigan girl through and through. My favorite season is winter because skiing and snowshoeing are fun!
This is my sixth year with SPARKS/Ignite and I love creating activities for our program. New students to SPARKS/Ignite can expect lots of projects based on repurposing materials, developing interests, and challenges for students to try something new.
I am also a big fan of any opportunity for students to learn a new skill. All of our field trips are designed to explore unconventional occupations, unrealized resources, or little-known recreational activities.
I welcome input and feedback from families regarding program activities. If you want to share an idea, feel free to contact me with one of the methods listed below.
