All excursions take place on Monday afternoon
Horseback riding is a perfect opportunity to enjoy the beautiful Colorado scenery, take some gorgeous pictures, and learn about the area. You will enjoy a 2 hour trail ride.
What to wear/bring: Please dress appropriately for the outdoors. Even when it's cool or cloudy, the Colorado sun can be strong, so wear sunscreen. We recommend long pants and close toed shoes. Also bring sunglasses and a jacket because the weather can change quickly. Don't forget your camera.
*Weight maximum per rider is 230 lbs.
Please Note: CGAIT will be utilizing 2 separate ranches to accommodate all of our riders. You will be randomly assigned a ranch.
The tours at Mythology Distillery will be a chance for visitors to learn about the art of craft distilling and the unique process behind each of our spirits. Our knowledgeable guides will take guests through every step of the production process, from the selection of the finest ingredients to the distillation and bottling of the finished product. The tour includes tasting glass and spirits sampling.
What to wear/bring: We will be both indoors and outdoors for this activity, please dress appropriately. You will have an opportunity to purchase spirits and swag at the distillery.
Strawberry Park Hot Springs blends the pure natural beauty of the environment with the unique stone masonry of our thermal pools.
What to wear/bring: We recommend that you wear your swimsuit under your clothes to speed up getting into the pools. There is a changing room, but there can be a line to get in. Please bring towel, water in non-glass container. No alcohol allowed in shuttles or at springs. It is a short walk down to the hot springs, and back up to the parking lot.
Since 1992 the Yampa River Botanic Park has grown from a flat, horse pasture into a six acre gem of 60 gardens with ponds, benches and sculptures. Each garden is in a unique setting with its own slope, sun exposure, soil chemistry, trees and shrubs which determine what will grow. Every garden has a different focus allowing everyone to find something which will complement their home garden. Most plants have labels. Many native plants are featured throughout the Park.
The one hour tour will be followed by an optional outdoor gentle yoga class. Mats will be provided.
What to wear/bring: Please wear comfortable walking shoes and clothes appropriate for the weather and yoga. Bring a water bottle. Yoga mats will be provided.
Steamboat’s most exciting summer attraction, the Howler Alpine Slide. Enjoy scenic views of downtown Steamboat Springs as you ride a chairlift to the top of historic Howelsen Hill. Using a sled provided to you at the top of the lift, you are in control of your exhilarating ride as you wind down a 2,400 foot track through the bends and curves of the natural landscape of beautiful Howelsen Hill.
What to wear/bring: Dress in normal summer clothing according to the weather, and don't forget the sunscreen. Hats and ball caps can fly off and are not recommended. Weight limit is 250 lbs.
Lets get creative! Enjoy step-by-step guidance to help you recreate a beautiful painting—no experience needed. Just relax, sip, and enjoy a the afternoon with friends. The class will take place under the pavilion on the hotel property.
What to wear/bring: We recommend wearing comfortable clothes, that you will not mind if a little bit of acrylic paint gets on. Bring your creativity.
A LIVE-ACTION PHYSICAL AND MENTAL ADVENTURE. Search for clues, solve puzzles, and work with your teammates to escape in 60 minutes or less. You are no longer a person moving a pawn, and you haven’t entered an ordinary room! You are players in the story. Only you can decide — which move is next? This interactive entertainment concept is taking the U.S. by storm. But no one does it quite like The Crooked Key!
What to wear/bring: No special equipment is necessary. You may be more comfortable in casual shoes, but the most activity you will be engaging in may be squatting down to get a closer look at something. IF you wear reading glasses, bring them. Game lasts for one hour. Loud noises and mild special affects (like fog) should be expected.
Join us for an interactive aromatherapy experience! Learn the process of candle making and the science of safer ingredients. Each participant will blend their own essential oil fragrances and hand-pour 2 pure soy candles. Workshop will take place at the hotel.
What to wear/bring: Wear comfortable clothing. Instructor will provide aprons.
