Cricket Wireless

Cricket Wireless is a prepaid wireless service provider in the United States. Cricket Wireless is a wholly owned subsidiary of AT&T. It offers mobile voice, text, and data using AT&T's nationwide network. Cricket Wireless was founded in 1999 by Leap Wireless International. AT&T acquired Cricket Wireless from Leap Wireless International for $1.2 billion on July 12, 2013.

Branding products and company

Cricket Wireless' most popular product/plan is four lines for $100. It supplies unlimited talk, text, and web across the board. Each cell phone user would have unlimited data. Unlike Cricket, most other businesses offer four lines for up to $400.

Cricket Wireless offers (brands) ZTE, Alcatel, LG, and Apple. Old cell phones can be tested by Cricket to see if it is compatible with Cricket Wireless. Customers can also bring in their own cell phones from other companies, such as BestBuy.

Businesses like BestBuy hurt Cricket Wireless because they may offer a phone that Cricket does not, which therefore takes business away from Cricket. Other businesses can help Cricket, however, because these businesses, such as BestBuy can also take business away from other cell phone companies like Verizon.

Pricing

Pricing is cheap and affordable at Cricket Wireless. It is much cheaper to have a plan with a group over just one or two people.

Cricket provides $100 for four lines with unlimited data. Not one unlimited plan is shared between everyone. Therefore, customers would have better connection and service would be much faster.

positioning

Cricket focuses more on pricing and service. Their prices are very cheap and they prioritize their customers. Cricket makes the interior of the business welcoming and alive. They play music and have a television on to keep the customers occupied.

product life cycle

After awhile, like all other phone companies, their phones usually stop working. Phone companies usually make their phones so they will not last very long. This enables them to get more customers to buy their product.

grades and standards

Cricket Wireless offers the 4G LTE across the board with any cell phone available, like most cell phone company around the area. The service is very similar to other phone companies but is much cheaper with the plans they have to offer.

Warranties and GUARANTEES

Cricket Wireless offers a one-year warranty on all phones that stop working from the fault of the phone. Any phones that stop working from customer fault would not qualify for the warranty. Beyond the one-year warranty, Cricket Wireless also offers Cricket Protect. Cricket Protect is $7/month and covers the phone from any fault or defect done to the phone. Cricket offers cheaper plans and warranties than most other cell phone companies. Cricket's highest deductible is $250 and their lowest is $10.

With the warranty on the phone, a customer can call 1800-274-2538 to pay the full price of the phone to hold, and the company will send a new phone to the customer. Another option is for the customer to send his/her phone in and Cricket will send the customer his/her phone back in approximately a week and a half. With Cricket Protect, as soon as the deductible is paid, the customer will receive his/her new phone replacement in one to two business days.

cHannels of Distribution
