Mathematics

Mathematics in stage 6 consists of several course options including ATAR courses and a non-ATAR course.

The ATAR courses build upon the skills and knowledge from Mathematics 7-10. The non-ATAR course is designed for those who want to appreciate how Mathematics is used in everyday society.

The ATAR courses consist of:

• Mathematics Standard  YR11, which splits into Mathematics Standard 1 and Mathematics Standard 2 in YR12

• Mathematics Advanced 

• Mathematics Extension 1

• Mathematics Extension 2 (Yr 12 only)

The non-ATAR course is Numeracy.

Students should talk with the Careers advisor in order to gain an understanding of what Mathematics course to do, depending on their studies after year 12.
